It has been launched by 4 IIMA grads who left big pay packets to start their own venture!! They started with a unique concept of offering 10 questions a day which kind of fancied a lot of people and they have about 19000 registered users now and presuably growing by the day!!

“Second life is a 3D digital world imagined, created and owned by its Residents.” The basic account is free and further paid upgrades are available. A downloadable client allows you to log in and choose an identity and be whatever you want. Users are called Residents and you can interact and socialise with other Residents as well. You can you even buy land (yeah…that’s what it’s called) and set up a home or business!! Various companies and organisations already have their setups in Second Life.
